For weeks now all our lives have been turned upside down and sideways because of the COVID-19. We have updated our office policies and office hours, as a result of the CDC’s recommendations, as well as Governor Abbott’s Executive Order(s).
We will be answering phones from 8am–4pm, M-Th; please be patient for a return call if required. We will remain open to see patients in-office one day per week (alternating days). We view treatment of the airway as you sleep as essential and necessary, and since we are not a typical dental office (no high-speed handpieces or dental procedures, and no aerosol generation), we are treated as a medical specialty office.
For NEW PATIENTS:
If you have been diagnosed with mild to moderate sleep apnea and are symptomatic (for sleepiness, fatigue, other medical comorbidities related to sleep apnea), we recommend a consultation ASAP (in person or phone).
If you have been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea, we recommend a consultation ASAP (in person or phone).
If you have a CPAP and can wear it, we recommend that you do so for now and consult with us when the restrictions are lifted.
For PATIENTS OF RECORD:
If you have a follow-up appointment, we will be doing that via phone or possibly in the near future via telemedicine.
If you are having problems with your custom dental sleep device, please call us, as it may be possible to resolve the issue over the phone. If you have a CPAP and can wear that in the interim, then please do.
If you cannot wear CPAP, then you should consider coming into the office for an adjustment.
PLEASE know that if you have a fever or are symptomatic for COVID-19, we ask that you seek medical attention immediately. Presently, we are NOT seeing or treating any COVID-19 positive patients in our office.
Be safe, be smart, and know that we will get through this and somehow come out ahead.
